Scoopie's 1st Event: MINIs Take The Beltway

Thanks 2 Motorgyrl's efforts, the event was a rousing success! Scoopie & I were sooo excited 2 FINALLY have the opportunity to attend an actual run! :wanna:
It was just awesome 2 see sooo many MINIs in one place, it was mind-boggling. Other *ahem* drivers passing us by in the parking lot ogled and probably couldn't believe their eyes, as well. I met lots of great people, and everyone was smiling--simply mahhhvelous! 8-) The weather was perfect 4 a run--the sun was shining, the roads were dry, and all was well w/the world. We even got a brief mention on the local traffic/weather station, WTOP! Thanks 2 Chris 4 letting me borrow his radio; otherwise, I wouldn't have known we were mentioned until someone announced it! I wanted 2 get some pics of us on the beltway, but it was difficult, so I only got one going over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (I got kinda nervous about maneuvering AND trying to snap pics, so that's why there's just the one).

We had a rep from PMoA w/us, as well, which was really cool. We also had flags, stickers & t-shirts, courtesy of a couple of generous donators (BIG ^5 2 them)!

Needless 2 say, Scoopie and I are looking forward 2 the next event! :)
