Me & Scoopie ... sittin' in a tree ... r-o-l-l-i-n-g .... ahhhhhh ... oh, what a relief it IS! :love:
Y'all, it's been a hella three months, I'm here 2 tellya! I felt like joining the lost & 4lorn ... perched on a prime piece of sidewalk somewhere in MD w/my sign: :help: Scoopie needs braces! However, after all the 2-1/2-hr Metrobus/rail rides, losing and having 2 replace a SmarTrip card, last-minute taxicab calls after gettin' fed up w/Metro's schedules, freezin' out here in the bitter cold :cold: , WE'RE BACK 2GETHER!!!! :D :naughty:
Went 2 the DMV 2day, ready 2 fork over my $1300 :@ 2 get my MD tags (DC tags died in July ... sigh) and STILL had 2 do some running around, thanks 2 my friend, Robert (bless his pea-pickin' heart). Stopped by my friend's house--who'd been graciously (& patiently) keeping Scoopie in her driveway 4 me 'til I could get the $$ 2gether--my heart was palpitating as we drove up the street. 4 one panicked second, I thought I'd bypassed the house, because the street seemed longer than the last time I'd been there ... but ... no ... no ... oh! THERE SHE IS!!! THERE'S MY BAAAABYYYYYY!!! *waving frantically* HIIIIIII, SCOOOPIEEEEEEE!!! I damned near fell out of Rob's truck tryna get 2 her! Grinnin' from ear 2 ear, I ran up and hugged her, she was lookin' so adooooorrrrable! Opened her door and tossed my purse, umbrella and tags on the passenger seat, and stuck the key in the ignition, hoping & praying all the while that she'd start on cue. She sputtered for about 3 seconds, and then, VROOOOM!!! That unmistakeable sound of PURPLE HAZE POWER hit my ears! :strong: YEEESSSSSS! O M Gawwd, that moment was just 2 much!!! Got her tags on, drove her straight 2 the gas station 4 a fill-up (she only had 1/4 tank) and FINALLY got 2 listen 2 her purr, roll out the flat spots in her shoes, and feel her hit the curves ... she missed me, 2 ... I can tell ... :blush:
So, now that I'm taking a break from work 'til 2morrow, I can sit at the window & look at her whenever I wanna! :P
Welcome home, Baby ... mama's soooooo happyyyyyy!!! As soon as this rain lets up, mama's gonna get u a niiiiice wash and wax ... u're gonna be so purrrrrtyyy ... and then ... :love:
