My most favorite club in DC/Baltimore area is "The Blues Alley".

Me and my friends were there quite often during late 80's. (we were all still single and available by the time)

We still visit the place every now and then. :D

Actually, during the same period, we were regulars at the other club called "the Saloon" (now called Saloun and not a jazz place any more). It was also a jazz pub by then. More laidback than Blues Alley, cheaper and their beers menu was awesome. Plus lots of college students were there. :naughty:

We usually went to Blues Alley on special occasions, and when they had our favorite musicians in the house.
Great...great...jazz club. If you like jazz and/or blues, and you're in the area or visit the area, Blues Alley is "the must" visit place.
Blue Alley is always rank no.1 on my list.

On the sidenote: "The Saloon" now is relocated to U street, NW. http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-saloon-washington
Heard to still be a good hangout place in the area.

Let me know what day is good for you? I first I was thinking about going there after tomorrow night dinner, but just realized that we had a run on Sunday. :sorry:

The other place is on the other side of the continent. A small venue the cater jazz lovers near North Hollywood, CA. When ever I go the LA, I love to visit "Baked Potato".

Small by cozy, interesting menus especially if you like baked potatoes and good music. Not as good as blues alley but it worth to stop by. :)
