When I went w/a few of my girlfriends 2 Georgetown a coupla weeks ago, we started talking about desserts. We'd just come from seeing This Is It, and felt that sweet tooth coming on. One of my friends mentioned Georgetown Cupcake, and went
on and on o_O about how delicious they were. So, since she twisted the arms of the uninitiated (myself included), we decided 2 trek on over there. We were 4warned, however: parking was next to nonexistent and there'd probably be a line. Yes, I said it ... people standing
on line 2 buy a cupcake. :-| Now, my curiousity is piqued.
We drove around and, sure enough, there was a line! I scooched Scoopie as close as possible behind their car, while one of them stood on line and we remained in our respective vehicles should 1 of DC's Finest decide to ride through and start issuing tickets.
I bought a Red Velvet cupcake, and waited 'til I got home to test it out. It was scrumptious! They're pretty small, but hey ...
WE all know that extraordinary things come in small packages, right? :naughty: Anyway, here's their link if you want 2 check them out:
http://www.georgetowncupcake.com/home.html. BTW, they're opening a 2nd shop in Bethesda Row sometime this month--sounds like a cupcake run could be in the near future! :D
